the soul clap boys from boston who come up with the next airdrop outing, outdoing themselves every single time. it’s becoming increasingly hard to hammer them down to a certain sound or aesthetic as their thirst for innovation is just unquenchable! >puppy crack< is a potent dance drug and should immediately be banned to avoid further brain damage. dripping into your drainage like some highly potent acid, the track breaks down into the wonkiest mayhem that clubbers ears have heard in a long time!for those who like it darker, the ragged >beat the puppy< tool is the one! not beating around the bush but rather beating the poor squelching animal, the track rages subliminally, gripping tight around the neck with a metallic beat that should have any old party dog wagging its tail rhythmically while the voice filters in causing uproar with its build-up.call in the ambulance and hope the doctor saving you when your overdose is mikael stavöstrand: he is just such a fine balancer and knows how to dose right: >puppy crack< becomes a deep entrancing affair with squelching noises and hypnotic synths that underline squeaking and clicking effects. slowly the whole affair culminates in an evil addiction you did not even notice you developed!

ooh yess! shadowfax starts the new year with a monster ep! dj dandi e ugo are 2 italian producers with a huge fanbase in their home country. having releases on lasergun, great stuff and stereoseven, these boys are experienced artists. their skills result in a series of highly functional tracks, handcrafted from a minimum of digital input. dandi e ugo create a solid groove with huge amount of funk, these tracks contain all the right ingredients for the masses! this gigantic 4-tracker will definitely blow up every dance floor around the world!

album sampler of the fred ventura classic cuts album release. two special tracks that have never been released before. a side is a sublime edit version by fabric resident dj craig richard of the i f track (ft fred ventura) i cut my heart out. craig made the track more suitable for modern club use, and he has been playing this edit version since months. he received so many reactions on the track of people who went total nuts (and some even cried when he played the intense and emotional song!). we thought this is the right moment to make it available for everyone. on the b side we have a slamming italo disco monster which fred produced together with ajello. super phat basslines (slightly reminding us of classic bobby orlando tracks) and typical italo disco synths. two completly different tracks both featuring the emotional vocals of fred ventura. timeless piece of dance music!

here we go again with some crazy party music - directly from the acid-drenched mind of the most fidgety of them all, your favorite bulgarian! after some great releases on such labels as noodles recordings, potty mouth recordings and second session, the bulgarian is back - this time showcasing his minimal side for complot. first off we have the anti-bling anthem check to check millionaire - a surprisingly clever mix of catchy lyrics and an unstoppable groove, the right combination to get faces smiling and booties shaking. dotcoza is the second anthem on this ep, and there s no denying that it s metallic stabs and wild acidic bass line will make you move, while the whistles will tickle your ears for added pleasure. for those looking to hear the bulgarian s darker side, home tonight will not disappoint with it s choppy percussion and inebriated bass line - a perfect compliment for those mushrooms you ate earlier. finally, with its plethora of interesting sound bytes, something red will make you pop like bubble gum and lock like a solid-steel safe. there s no question that the bulgarian s incisive sounds, illegal bass lines and crispy beats will make all of us sweat.. like the last time you got chased by a pit bull..

killer hypnotic techhouse / techno!!

fine arranged melodies from multiple sound sources, as stated in his biography, are the building blocks of which daniel mehlhart considers to be the essence of good music. putting what he preaches into practice has affirmed the 22-year-old swiss born, frankfurt am main resident, as one of the most exciting new talents in the underground tech-house movement. his most acclaimed release was the harp-tinged origami, released last summer on kindisch, which catapulted him into the record bags and charts of a slew of seasoned djs during the end of last summer. >scharade< is an example of young daniel sticking to what he does best, mixing and blending techno. atmospheres and sonic images while still animating an organic and natural vibe over the tracks. liberal amounts of percussion and a middle eastern or asian vocal dramatically pitched this tune beyond recognition watermark with a style and a vibe that he has helped to advance. the house roots of >distracted conscience< are present right from the onset. using a double pump kick to inject a pinch more of energy into the already flourishing habitat of off-kilter and spooky sound effects. so many in fact it is easy to see how he came up with the name, >distracted conscience<, as there are more effects floating around in this track than thoughts in the head of an 8-year-old who forgot his daily dose of ritalin. he turns to an ethnic vocal on >alura< again, but keeping the overall mood of this outing a bit deeper. he pulls out even more percussion instruments including extra shakers, toms and bongos all marching along harmoniously. this is a head down, hands-up, side-to-side bopper that just keeps quietly elevating as subtle elements are added and subtracted throughout the duration of the tune. a coherent composition and dj tool all in one. although this is his second release there are no signs of a sophomore slump anywhere in site, as daniel mehlharts talent lies in his unique, but subtle ability to gel different eleme

after 2 successful eps and massive remixes for metronomy and whomadewho its now time for more discodeine vinyl action. this third ep called tom select is definitly dedicated to the dancefloor... frankly, the track speaks for itself but if you need some influences lets say smith n hack/lfo/frankie bones... but you should know by now that discodeine is only sounding like discodeine right? the remixes are provided by some people that we admire for a long time: la horse (danton eeprom & ivan smagghe) and joakim. la horse provided a trippy remix, with live drums, electronic wizzardy and insanely beautiful pop harmonies while joakim is more on that nasty techno vibe we all love.

this week is a particularly good week for real house, and baker street get in on the act with a splendid set from leon louder. montreal based groovesmiths attention to detail are what separate him from many contemporary dj/ producers, with get lost particularly beautifully crafted. the rest of the ep hits the right note, with a tasty old skool vide, a varied mix & essential purchase.

dj arcane is one of the most electrifying rising stars in the techno scene right now. with his releases on labels like compressed, kne deep and tooltorrer and organik. he proofed his producer qualities. so it s not a big suprise that organik003 will be from this very talented guy. expect techno at its best!

prologue and juho kahilainen (bpitch control, frozen north, initial cuts) release a wonderful deep depressive giant ep called prophet without a vision. juho is recognized as a great electronic artist in europe with the right talent to take you on an excessive dance floor journey without any compromises. de:bug wrote about juho, everybody should take an eye on his productions. prologue shares the same opinion! juho kahilainen has produced one of the greatest summer hits last year on bpitch control and is back on prologue music with a mind-boggling ep called prophet without a vision, now. he is delivering perfect techno tracks with space consuming tunes and unbelievable deepness, people cannot really sit down... you must dance. but dont lose too many words about this prologue release, just listen to it and be surprised. mastered by oliver lieb. support from cio dór, oliver lieb, alex flatner, donato dozzy and many more to come!

full power play by dubfire, oliver huntemann, popof, stephan bodzin, fergie, style of eye, florian meindl, the hacker, the glitz,… andreas henneberg is part of the glitz (voltage musique, pocketgame, ostwind, karateklub, notorious elektro, areal...) brings home the electro techno bacon once again. hes definitely one of the most promising new electronic artists that emerged from germany in the last years. the federfarben ep comes up like a swarm of killerbees that pushes the honeys right onto the dancefloor. both tracks are overflowing with energy and great interference modulations. this guy simply knows what hes doing and you can be sure hes kicking ass! beware of freaked out dancers!

classical violinist chieko kinbara takes us to a virtual place of worship with >changed my life<. the standout single stemming from her very recent strings of life debut king st album. gospel vocalists sharon adams & lisa mack really take us to church with their big ol chorus & code reds dj spen will be driving us right to the front door with his remix full of spiritual motion and uplifting piano riffs. get ready to lift yo hand on up!

your know you are doing something right when greg wilson comes knocking at your door for some disco edit action. such is the life now for croation nu disco gem ilija rudmen. after a series of releases on labels rong, infant and deep freeze, bearfunk were quick to grab dance disorder and wasted no time in asking their studio neighbours faze action to step up. their synth bass, low slung and sleazy remix, with a dose of their trademark strings hits the spot. this sits snuggly with ilijas original which mixes in real bass and guitar with his analog heavy funk laden grooves.

colin de la plante is the canadian bred and berlin-based the mole. his unique and abstract take on modern disco on labels like wagon repair and musique risque put him right at the top of my wishlist….. so after promises of fulfilling filthy fantasies and a big share in the norwegian oil fund these 2 golden nuggets were handed over!
